I had the pleasure of interviewing Omar and learning we are both from Detroit and get this, we both graduated from Mackenzie High School the same year!!

I learned much about the value of community in acupuncture. Omar began with his own community growing up, then the impact of acupuncture in our Black community and included some cultural and historical insights about acupuncture extending to its use in Africa, which is not talked about as often as we hear China or Korea. I was throughly enchanted by his stories.

I also was rewarded with info about our neighborhood I did not know!!

Enjoy this interview.

Stay tuned for the rest of the story.
